Felicity came highly recommended by a friend, and from the moment we connected, I knew I was in great hands. Planning a first holiday to Croatia for September, I needed someone to handle the arrangements - and Felicity delivered beyond my expectations.
From our very first conversation, she listened attentively to my requests: a 4-star hotel with a sea view, ideally located in an area of historical interest. Having never been to Croatia, I left everything up to her, and she chose the perfect spot - the Royal Palm Hotel, just outside Dubrovnik.
The hotel
The Royal Palm Hotel was everything I had hoped for and more. My spacious room featured a large balcony with breathtaking sea views - perfect for unwinding and soaking in the scenery. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay all the more enjoyable.
While the hotel’s restaurant wasn’t quite up to the standard I expected for a 4-star property (and the prices were a bit steep), this was a minor downside. Its peaceful surroundings, excellent facilities, and proximity to lively local restaurants more than made up for it.
Dubrovnik and beyond
A highlight of the trip was visiting Dubrovnik, which we reached by a short bus ride from the hotel. The walled city was even more magical than I had imagined, with its stunning architecture, charming streets and spotless cleanliness.
We also took the cable car for panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape - a must-do!
Another unforgettable experience was a boat trip aboard the Galleon Tirena, a replica of a traditional galleon ship. This adventure took us to the islands of Kolocep, Sipan and Lopud, each offering a unique glimpse into Croatia’s rich culture and history. The day was made even more special by the fantastic staff on board, who ensured it was both fun and memorable.
Weather-wise, it was a bit varied, as you might expect in September, but we were fortunate to enjoy plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures for most of the trip.
Final thoughts
Would I recommend Dubrovnik and Croatia? Absolutely. The scenery, history and sheer cleanliness of the country are remarkable. I’d love to return someday, perhaps to explore a different part of Croatia.
A massive thank you to Felicity for making this holiday so special. As a first-time client, I was blown away by her care, professionalism and patience (especially given my struggles with technology)! She handled everything, from arranging car parking and pre-flight accommodation to crafting the perfect itinerary.
Felicity’s dedication and attention to detail truly set her apart, and I’m thrilled to say she’s my go-to travel advisor from now on!
