Accessible & Inclusive Holidays
When creating my website, I was keen to include my dedication and passion for bringing the gift of travel to everyone; to people of all shapes, sizes and abilities.
When my older brother was just 17, he had a life-changing accident that resulted in him now being a tetraplegic (broken neck). Seeing him transition between being a person who was always on the go, travelling and adventurous to now seeing the barriers that he faces when going away, sparked a need in me to advocate for accessible travel.
Later in my career, I was proud to arrange holidays for children with life-limiting illnesses. Again, giving the gift of travel to all really does light a fire in me.
There is a lot of talk in the travel industry now, around how we can make it easier for everyone to travel - what changes need to happen, and how the industry can be more inclusive for all. I won’t lie – there is still a way to go, but one thing is for sure - if there is a way, I will find it.
I will ask the tough questions, ensure that every element of your journey has been thought of and that everything is in place to give you the holiday you so rightly deserve. From organising assistance at the airport and on the plane, to hiring mobility equipment in resort, finding out room dimensions and any specific measurements you may need, pool hoists, beach chairs, adapted transfers and accessible excursions – you name it – we will talk about it.
My primary goal is to make sure your holiday is as stress free, easy, and as inclusive as I can make it.
This doesn’t just stop at physical disabilities; this covers every type of disability. Vision impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, mental health conditions, autism spectrum disorders to name but a few.
I will take the time to make sure I fully understand what you need from your holiday, what will make it easier and most of all, I will strive to help you create the very best memories I can.
